The United States is in the midst of an epidemic of opioid overdoses and overdose deaths. Multiple factors have contributed to this epidemic. “One aspect of managing this crisis is to increase the number of providers able to treat opioid use disorder with Medication for Addiction Treatment (or MAT).”This presentation will focus on the use of buprenorphine to treat opioid use disorder. The purpose of the program is to educate potential buprenorphine prescribers to encourage them to treat patients with opioid use disorder with buprenorphine.
