Older adult patients are presenting with higher levels of complexity as they age. Primary care providers need to be able to handle the intricacies that occur in caring for older adults as it is rarely just one problem addressed at one visit.

Anemia may be common in the elderly patient, but it should not be accepted as normal aging. The scientific evidence suggests that consequences of untreated geriatric anemia are significant. Anemia leads to poorer quality of life and increased morbidity and mortality.

This course reduces risk and provides education and competency to meet regulatory and licensure requirements for practitioners providing Telehealth services to patients while integrating appropriate patient and practitioner communication.
