This talk will describe the distribution of buprenorphine patient caseloads for clinicians prescribing formulations of buprenorphine indicated to treat opioid use disorder, how those caseloads evolve over time, and factors associated higher-volume buprenorphine prescribers.

This lecture will review current data on opioid use in youth. Treatment strategies including medication management, behavioral interventions, and harm reduction approaches will be discussed. 

As part of ongoing efforts to address the epidemic of opioid overdose deaths, New York State has established educational requirements to raise healthcare provider awareness of the risks associated with prescribing and taking opioid pain medications.
