Recognize, Respond and Report Victims of Human Trafficking for the Healthcare Professional: TEXAS

This course attempts to fill the knowledge gap for healthcare professionals to recognize, respond, and repot victims of human trafficking. This training will empower the healthcare professional through comprehensive, evidence-based training. This is both trauma and survivor informed. 

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Define human trafficking by its 3 major concepts. 
  • Identify the types of trafficking.
  • Identify red flags of sex and labor trafficking. 
  • Identify normal neuropsychologic responses to trauma. 
  • Apply trauma informed care to victims of human trafficking. 
  • Recognize role as a mandatory reporter of victim of human trafficking in accordance with mandatory reporting laws.
