Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma

Abusive head trauma is a critical concern in pediatric care, requiring vigilant recognition and management to prevent devastating outcomes. This session will explore the risk factors and epidemiological trends associated with abusive head trauma, equipping clinicians to identify at-risk populations. Learners will learn to recognize red flags in the patient’s history and physical examination that suggest abusive head trauma while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the diagnostic approach, including essential laboratory and imaging workups.
