Human Trafficking: The Role of Healthcare
Although human trafficking is a global problem with 21 million victims worldwide, Florida is the third in the nation. This session will define your role in trauma-informed care as well as help you identify the demographics and unique features of human trafficking. With a better understanding of the psychological and physiological effects, you can improve how you treat patients who are victims of trauma.
