Female Veterans and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Care (Enduring)

This knowledge based presentation will provide participants with information on the prevalence of substance misuse and SUD among women Veterans, how women Veterans’ prevalence compares to that for men Veterans and women civilians, issues pertaining to the assessment of women’s substance use, the current state of knowledge regarding VA SUD treatment services available to women, and relevant information on best treatment practices for women with co-occurring SUD and psychiatric disorders or substantial trauma histories.
