Comprehensive Review of Family Medicine for NPs and PAs

Target Audience
This educational activity was designed for family physicians, general practitioners, emergency department physicians, certified registered nurse practitioners (CRNPs), physician assistants (PAs), geriatricians, internists, and primary care obstetrician/gynecologist.
Learning Objectives
After viewing this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to:
- Differentiate among the various causes of coronary artery disease
- List commonly seen pediatric infectious diseases
- Identify and explain life-style strategies for preventing obesity
- Recognize the common and uncommon medical complications of pregnancy
- Contrast skin signs of dermatologic conditions with skin signs of systemic disease
- Differentiate among the types and causes of tremor
- Describe the medications used for depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder
- Compare management strategies for acute pain and chronic pain
- Categorize childhood immunizations and adult immunizations
- Discuss the treatment of patients with diabetes including insulin management
- List pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for sports injuries
