Bridging the Gap with Dr. Hall: Strategies for Ending the HIV Epidemic
As part of its partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign, Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, Director of the Division of HIV Prevention, will join Pri-Med faculty Dr. Greg Hall, expert in African American health and healthcare, as they discuss strategies for stopping the HIV epidemic across all communities. In this session, you’ll explore the concept of HIV as a syndemic and how that framework can help you identify patients with risk factors for HIV. You’ll also learn the importance of applying a status neutral approach to HIV care to ensure effective treatment and prevention of HIV across all patient populations. You’ll also leave the session with information on the latest guidelines and recommendations, including the newly released guidelines on HIV prevention with PrEP. It’s a can’t-miss educational opportunity for anyone looking for practical tools to help your patients and help end the HIV epidemic.
