What’s Happening in Osteoporosis

In this presentation, Dr. Veronica Piziak provides the latest information related to osteoporosis, including who should be screened and by what method, the role of exercise, as well as treatment (according to newly released guidelines) with guidance about formulating treatment plans for patients. Additionally she discusses treatment duration and problems associated with therapy.

Dr. Piziak is Emeritus Director, Division of Endocrinology and Director of the Diabetes Center for Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas. She has attained the rank of Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology at Texas A&M University College of Medicine and is Professor of Social and Behavioral Health for Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health.
