Veteran suicide remains a significant public health concern, with those diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at potentially elevated risk. This recorded, virtual, knowledge-based webinar will review factors driving risk among those with PTSD within the context of leading theoretical models of suicide. We will discuss empirically-supported methods of assessing and intervening upon suicide risk within the context of evidence-based treatment. Finally, we will conclude by discussing gaps in the research and necessary next steps to ensure Veterans with PTSD receive optimal suicide prevention efforts. This training applies to healthcare team members.
